Superintendent Johnny Prioleau, Sr.

My Story

Johnny Prioleau, Sr. was born in Pineville, South Carolina.  At the early age of eleven, he was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized at age twelve.  After graduating high school, he traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to work. He met and married his sweetheart, Constance (Connie) Caldwell.  They are proud parents of four children, and they have ten beautiful grandchildren.

He is the Pastor and Founder of Believers Temple Church of God in Christ which was the result of his organizing The Believers of Christ Community Choir and conducting house-to-house Bible study sessions.  The first service was held on October 28, 1978. He attended Moody Bible Institute, JW Wilson Memorial Bible Institute, and Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) of Atlanta, GA.

Pastor Prioleau has served the community and church in many capacities.  He has served in the South Carolina Jurisdiction COGIC as Jurisdictional Sunday School Superintendent, Chairman of AIM Conference, Secretary of Ordination Board, Chairman of Ordination Board, and Coordinator of Convention audio and video recordings and sales. He presently serves as President of St. Stephen Ministerial Association, Manager of the Spiritual Wings Quartet of St. Stephen, SC/Philadelphia, PA & Voices of Praise Recording Choir, Eastern District Superintendent (serving 10 churches), Organizer of The Eastern District Institute (EDI), SC Jurisdiction, Chairman of Superintendents Council and Second Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. Supt. Prioleau is a man of prayer, fasting, and the Word.
