Evangelist Marcella D. Bristow was born in Washington, D.C. She received salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at the age of 16. Evangelist Bristow and the late Superintendent Thomas N. Bristow, Jr. were united in Holy Matrimony in 1976, and this union has been blessed with two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. She served in Federal Service and retired in 1997.
She was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary in March 1986 and has been serving in ministry now for over 40 years twenty of which was spent overseas in Europe. There she served alongside her husband in full-time Pastoral and Missions ministry and was appointed as a District Missionary in 1992. This ministerial team served together until Superintendent Bristow’s transition to be with the Lord in December 2009. Evangelist Bristow subsequently returned to live in the United States and is a member of Greater Refuge Temple Church Of God In Christ, Columbia, SC. There she has served for over 10 years as the Church Mother and President of the Women’s Department under the anointed leadership of Pastor Wayne Penn, Sr. She also serves in the South Carolina Jurisdiction, COGIC as the District Missionary of the Capitol District, appointed in 2016.
Evangelist Bristow is a graduate of Regent University with a B.A. in Christian Ministry. As the Lord continues to bless and anoint the ministry that He has ordained in the life of this maidservant, lives are being touched by the miracle of God’s love and the power of His Word.
